We loved providing live music at the Boodles Christmas party/end of year celebration! This was the second year in a row that we’ve played for them; they liked us so much last time that they asked us back. Boodles and the Chester Grosvenor know how to put on a fabulous work do, and we were honoured to provide our exceptional six-piece corporate function band for this fantastic event in the heart of Cheshire. After drinks and a slap-up meal there was a mini awards ceremony to celebrate what Boodles employees had achieved over the past year. After that it was party time, as our flagship covers band Funk Soul Family got everyone to the dancefloor for a good old-fashioned knees-up. We pulled out all the stops with the six-piece version of Funk Soul Family, our incredible corporate function band with saxophone. As the guests were a real mix of ages, we played a wide range of tunes from the last five decades, and had the Boodles staff dancing all night long! The Chester Grosvenor is a stunning event venue, a luxury five-star boutique hotel right in the middle of Chester. It recently won an award for ‘World’s Best Classic Hotel’ at the Boutique Hotel Awards. It’s right next door to the famous Eastgate Clock, supposedly the most photographed clock in Britain after Big Ben! They have their own Michelin star restaurant called the Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, as well as a champagne and cocktail bar. Boodles is a British fine jeweller that has been running for over 200 years. Their products and service are second to none, so it was a real pleasure to provide live music for another of their corporate events. Funk Soul Family is part of Good Indeed Music, a collective of five fabulous party bands who are experts in providing unforgettable live music for weddings, corporate events and private parties.
